Introduction to Engineering Design-Locke Q1 Fall 2024 pm

Course Description

Students are introduced to the engineering design process, applying math, science, and engineering standards to identify and design solutions to a variety of real problems. Through both individual and collaborative team activities, projects, and problems, students will solve problems as they practice common design and development protocols such as project management and peer review. Students will develop skill in engineering calculations, technical representation and documentation of design solutions according to accepted technical standards, and use of current 3D architectural design and modeling software to represent and communicate solutions.

OUR GOALS FOR TODAY

Warm-up: Go to Kite Portal and take Project Presentation
HONORS students - Please make sure you are working on your honors presentation due Sep. 27. See honors contract and honors assignment in Classroom for more details. 
Finish 3D Printing Designs today and plan to test tomorrow!
Work on Presentations today. Be sure to fix any problems with your content as you receive feedback from the instructor.
I plan to check testing procedures, so we will discuss how you would plan that and write it up in your presentations.
We will discuss how to properly write up conclusions and recommendations (or sometimes called improvements)
If you are ahead, then go back and work on SolidProfessor modeling activities
The parliament is open this week before and after class: It will be cash only!  The menu and flyer a provided below.

Tuesday, November 12 and Wednesday, November 13 End-of-Course testing for Introduction to Engineering Design.  This is a two-part exam therefore plan to be present both days.
Monday, December 9 and Tuesday, December 10 End-of-Course testing for Principles of Engineering.  This is a two-part exam therefore plan to be present both days.
